OutRyders is committed to creating a safe, welcoming, and fun community for LGBTQ+ skiers, snowboarders, and friends. By joining, every member agrees to uphold this Code of Conduct so that all can enjoy our events, trips, and social gatherings.
Expectations of Members
- Respect & Inclusion
Treat all members, guests, and venue staff with kindness, dignity, and respect — regardless of race, gender identity, sexual orientation, ability, or background. Harassment, discrimination, bullying, or unwanted advances will not be tolerated. - Behavior at Events
Conduct yourself responsibly at all OutRyders events and trips. Excessive intoxication, unruly, unsafe, or disruptive behavior may result in immediate expulsion. - Disputes
If a disagreement arises, bring it to a board member in a calm and professional manner. The board will work to resolve issues fairly and in the best interest of the club. - Membership Requirement
All attendees at OutRyders trips must be current, paid members. Guests are not permitted at official club trips.
Liability & Acknowledgements
- Assumption of Risk
Members understand that skiing, snowboarding, travel, and related activities involve inherent risks. By joining, members release and hold harmless OutRyders and its board from liability for injuries, damages, or losses incurred during participation in club trips or events. - Board Decisions
Members acknowledge that the board acts in the best interest of the majority. While every individual request cannot be met, the goal is always to provide an inclusive and positive experience for all. - Media Use
Members grant OutRyders permission to use photos, videos, or comments posted on official OutRyders platforms for promotional purposes, without compensation. Members concerned about privacy may contact the board to request not being tagged or featured.
Violations & Enforcement
- Zero Tolerance
Members who violate this Code of Conduct are subject to immediate termination of membership, at the express decision of the OutRyder Board.
Dues & Payments
If membership is terminated, all dues are forfeited. Members may also lose deposits or trip payments if cancellation policies or contractual arrangements with resorts and partners prevent refunds.
